Welcome!

Rosehill College has a proud history of serving students and their families in the Papakura/Franklin areas on the southern fringe of Auckland for more than 40 years. Over that time the school has developed a reputation for academic excellence, along with providing a positive and supportive environment. Our students come from urban and rural backgrounds, and a variety of ethnic backgrounds as well. We place a high value on diversity and respect, and we enjoy the energy that comes with diversity.
With some 1800 students we are able to offer students a very broad curriculum. See our Curriculum Map on this website for more details. As well as excelling in the traditional academic disciplines, we also offer wide choices in physical education, in the visual arts, in music, in drama and dance and in technology. We teach three international languages as well as Maori, and we have a strong ESOL department.
We encourage our students to develop excellence, resilience and self-management. Students with learning difficulties are ably assisted by our Learner Support Department, and our Student Support Department includes two counsellors, a kaimanaaki and a nurse.
We have a very large and successful extra-curricular programme for students, which includes more than 30 sports. To help in that area we have a strong Sports Department made up of a director and two sports co-ordinators. We also have an elite sports programme to foster the talents of those students who show exceptional abilities in that area.
We encourage our students to take the opportunities that are provided in a large, successful school. We encourage participation and service, and our student leaders, our Student Council and our Student Committees have a vital role in fostering those.
We are proud of our students and staff, and of the excellent results they achieve together in a wide range of activities.
