DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY
To prepare young people for life by providing a performance based music education programme, which is relevant to students’ own and collective cultures and which supports the Mission Statement of Rosehill College .
“Together we provide an environment for personal excellence.”

Department Aims:
v To provide students with opportunities for creativity and self-expression.
v To increase skills in reading music, singing or playing an instrument, composing, and listening to music.
v To stimulate and develop an appreciation and enjoyment of music.
v To provide intellectual and aesthetic stimulation.
v To develop an awareness of music in its historical, social and cultural settings.
v To develop life skills and social skills through music-making activities.
