The 'Student Support Department' is the department within Rosehill College devoted to maintaining, and developing the emotional and relationship strengths of the Rosehill College community.

Although Student Support attempts to also provide support to members of the Rosehill College Community such as staff and parents, most of our activities are understandably oriented around students.

COUNSELLING

Counselling attempts to provide an opportunity for students to talk about problems and concerns in a safe place to a person who will be supportive. Counselling can allow students to clarify their problems and reveal options and possibilities that were previously hidden.  More about Counselling.

Ms Milne is a member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors and receives regular supervision for her work with students

HEALTH CENTRE

Heidi is a registered nurse, managing the Health Centre full-time to attend to health concerns of all kinds. She will consult with families and notifiy parents/caregivers of significant health issues for their children.

Please contact Heidi if your child has on-going health concerns that may require addressing during school hours.

KAIMANAAKI

Kaimanaaki is a service that promotes the full participation and achievement of Maori students in Rosehill College life.

Kaimanaaki works both with students and their whanau to remove the barriers to learning that some Maori students may experience.  More about Kaimanaaki activities .
