Year 10 Camp

Every year a group of enthusiastic Year 12 Outdoor Education students embark on an adventure of a lifetime – running your Year 10 Camp. Year 10 Camp is based at Waharau, on the Firth of Thames, which we own with three other schools. Camp is renowned as a time for the school house system – Atawhai, Kahurangi, Manutaki, Pounamu, Rangatahi and Taikura – to foster personal development through the adventure and challenge of outdoor activities, provide opportunities for social development, caring, cooperation, and acceptance of individual differences through shared experiences and communal living and to develop awareness and respect for the environment. Over the course of the three days the students are able to experience Archery, Sailing, Kayaking, involvement in a Low and High Ropes Course, Tramping, an Overnight Camp out in tents, and a BBQ at Miranda Hot Pools.

If you establish a regular AP before 30/3/010 you qualify for a discounted activity fee (school fees, class material fees, bus levies and camp, this does not apply if you are only setting it up for camp- unless your A/P specifies that it is for camp only!).
Paying Camp Fees By Automatic Payment
If you wish to set up an Automatic Payment to Pay School Fees, please collect one from your bank or use telephone or Internet banking.
When setting up the payment it is essential that you record the following details on our bank particulars/code/reference fields.
Payments to: Rosehill College BOT
Account No: 12-3031-0837472-00
Our Account
Particulars: School Fees (NB: If for Camp only, this should read CAMP)
Code: «SURNAMINITIALS»
(Student Surname and initial/s)
Where you are paying for more than one student please include all student’s initials. E.g. Janet & Jill Brown - enter as BROWN, J & J
Reference: «IDNUMBERS»
(Student ID)
5-digit number shown on student ID card or Fees account. This is critical to ensure we apply the payments to the correct student’s account. If unsure of this, please call the school on 295 0661.
We suggest that you might like to make the payments “Until further notice” – this allows you the option of letting a credit accumulate with us to cover such unforseen things as Sports Fees, Drama & Musical Productions & other activities which may occur during the year. If such things were to be covered by your A/P, we would just require a simple letter from you to that effect at the time.
We will inform you when you run into credit (once all current fees are paid) and give you the option to cancel the A/P. If we hold a credit we will ask you if you wish us to continue to hold it or whether you wish us to refund it.
