NCEA REQUIREMENTS
v You are required to attend of all classes held, and to complete set tasks in order to do internal assessments and the external examination in drama 2.6.
v Written work is to be completed by the due date and you are expected to be present and prepared for all performance work. Late presentation of work will result in NOT ACHIEVED.
v If you are away on the day of an assessment, you or your caregiver must phone the school to notify your teacher that you are absent. If a pink slip is obtained from your HOH an alternative assessment date will then be set when this is feasible, however it may not be practical to rerun a drama performance. In some cases evidence from final rehearsals may be used to justify achievement.
v If an extension to a due date is needed it must be accompanied by a medical certificate or an explanation signed by parents or guardians before the due date so that pink slip from your HOH can be obtained and alternative can be negotiated.
v Remember that progression to the level 3 will depend upon your achieving more than half of the standards at Level 2.
v Reassessment opportunity Reassessment opportunities will only be offered where feasible as live performance work in groups is often impossible to reassess fairly.

Recording of marks: Class teachers are to enter marks for each student on classroom manager and in their markbooks. Marks are to be checked for accuracy at the end of each term. BL is responsible for passing NCEA marks on to admin and for collating marks for reports. For report grades see individual unit assessment sheets.
Authenticity of work: All performance work is developed in class time in front of class teacher. Notes in preparation for written work are to be kept in the student’s portfolio as evidence of the drafting process.
Reassessment opportunity: Reassessment opportunities will only be offered where feasible as live performance work in groups is often impossible to reassess fairly.
